Making things smaller, more actionable, and more aligned with energy

Before tomorrow’s Move Forward Monday public post goes live, I wanted to share the deeper layer here first.
This week, I’m reflecting on something practical but important: we need to protect our pick of long focus and use our energy more intentionally. That is part of why I’ve been thinking more seriously about properly matching different types of tasks/areas with Time-Blocking, Pomodoros, Frogs, and Energy Levels (freebies coming on this one next week).
And it is also why I’m starting to rethink how I host body-doubling sessions.
I’ll still be hosting the usual public morning FLOWN session this week, and I’ll still be there inside the room beyond that, too, as a participant. But looking ahead, I’m most likely going to step back from hosting the generic morning session after it.
The team is strong. I know I can also show up as a participant, and I know others may be ready to step in and host too (a special thank you to Raj💗). That opens space for me to use that time frame for longer Pomodoros (Yep! I’ll write more also about this one) and also to experiment more with something I’m genuinely excited about: themed, action-based body-doubling sessions built around a specific area people want help moving on.
The first experiment is with social media/promotion.
Tomorrow’s public article will introduce the bigger idea in a lighter way. But here in the Member Corner, I wanted to share the full concept first, along with the rhythm I’m planning for the week and the thinking behind it.
Because the deeper theme is not only social media.
It is this: Make it smaller. Make it actionable. Match it to your energy.
About the ProductivityHub ActionTable: Socials & Co:
Why I think this could work amazingly
I’ve prepared a format that combines several things at once:
body doubling
timeboxing
visibility practice
decision-making
repurposing
community accountability
It also makes social media smaller. Instead of “I need a whole strategy,” the task becomes:
show up
think clearly
prepare one thing
reuse it
That is manageable.
And honestly, I need this too. I am very good at helping others show up.
When it comes to my own work on social media or promotion, well… I am still growing in this area. So this is not me teaching from perfection. It is me building the room I would personally want to enter.
If this first experiment works, I would love for it to become a series, with different versions and themed challenges over time. I’m really going for a BIG frogs or mine, here!
For now, episode one is for anyone who feels they need to catch up, reset, and stop carrying social media as a vague guilty weight in the background.
We can make it lighter by making it specific.
If this sounds helpful, let me know. I’m also creating a separate interest list for people who want to be notified when these sessions happen.
Let’s see what changes when we stop avoiding this topic and start working on it together.
Here is what will happen in the first Action Table in detail:
